Share "The "Hole" Story on Planting Shrubs"
If you're planning some new shrubbery this spring, now's the time to get to work. Assuming you're using the common bare-root shrubs from a nursery, it's a perfect time to plant them. Here are the basic steps:
Dig a hole large enough to hold the root
Pile loose soil in the bottom of the hole and lay the roots into the pile.
Put soil in the hole and tamp the soil down till the hole is 2/3 filled.
Fill the hole to the brim with water; once the dirt absorbs that water, finish filling the hole with soil.
Go rent a movie and wait for it to grow.
